    A W.C. Fields Group of Signed Items, 1930s-1940s. Four total including: 1) a letter typed on personalized stationery, dated "June 10, 1943," to "Edwin A. Halsey, Secretary, United States Senate," regarding a meeting with the actor, signed in black foutain pen ink on the lower margin "W.C. Fields;" 2) an envelope with an amazing pen and ink drawing of the actor, inscribed by him in black fountain pen ink on the left side "Dear Al Schlegle / It arrived OK as / you will see - the resemblance / is excellent. / W.C. Fields," postmarked "Mar 14, 1940;" 3) a page removed from a 'Memoranda' book, signed in black fountain pen ink by "W.C. Fields / Ralf Harolde / Jack Coogan" and "Sal Birchfield;" and 4) an index card with a watercolor of a flower with a handwritten annotation reading "Easter / Greeting / W.C. Fields." (Please note all pieces are somewhat yellowed due to age.)
