A Sylvester Stallone Handwritten Script from "Rocky," Circa 1975. Red, mead-brand spiral notebook, 17 interior lined pages filled with notes handwritten (mostly on both sides) by Stallone in black ballpoint ink, with a number of his corrections and/or changes appearing in red ink throughout, outlining what would become the first "Rocky" film, now-famous characters ["Rocky," "Adrian," "Paulie," "Mickey, "Apollo Creed"] are noted as is dialogue and plot points that are seen in the finished film ["Where did you get / the name, Italian Stallion / R- / Invented it when / I was eatin' dinner / 'bout nine years ago" ], other parts were never used (as indicated by Stallone's comment of "crap to go"); fascinating to see the genesis of this most iconic film in the writer's own hand -- a film that ultimately won three Oscars for 'Best Picture,' 'Best Director,' and 'Best Film Editing' and garnered Stallone a nomination for 'Best Actor in a Leading Role.' (Please note the notebook is creased and yellowed due to age.)11" x 8 1/2"
"This is where all the ideas were coming out and the way I would write it. I would come up with a random scene and if it felt right, I would continue and build on that. These are all lines that I would eventually put into the script. It's all these moments here. This is the original ending where it reads 'the procession approaches and passes Adrian and she screams Rocky's name. Somehow the delicate voice cuts through all the racket and Rocky hears it and Rocky frantically starts climbing over people out of the ring...appears to be a man trying to go upstream against the tide or up a down escalator...' This was the original ending and this is the only one that exists on the planet."

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!View More Testimonials
