    A Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, and Others Signed Pith Helmet from "Utopia." Franco London Films, 1951. Traditional design, inside lining has maker's label reading "Tropical Helmet / Partson / Helmet Manufactory / Pomel / 49, La Canebiere / Marseille," leather lining further embossed "Pomel" with the same address, entire surface of hat is covered with black fountain pen ink signatures of the cast and crew of the film including Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Max Elloy, Michel Dalmatoff, Adriano Rimoldi, Jean Maxime, Ida Laurel [Stan's wife], and Lucille Hardy [Oliver's wife], among many others who were probably behind-the-scenes types; additionally, two dates are noted on hat: "Aug. 7, 1950" and "April 22." (Please note the helmet is in worn and somewhat stained condition as it was likely used by a cast member during the film's production.)
