Four total; the first on personalized stationery, dated "February 27th, 1939," addressed to "Mr. Richard Birkett," regarding issues at the writer's farm, signed in black fountain pen ink on the lower right side "Sidney Howard;" the second very similar but dated "April 2nd, 1939;" the third on Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows letterhead, dated "April 22nd, 1939," to same person, also about the farm, also signed similarly; together with an SIP, Inc. 'Inter-Office Communication' memo, yellow half sheet, to the writer and George Cukor from DOS, dated "February 2, 1938," reading in part "...we are going to have / to knock out some ten thousand feet (of "GWTW").
