A Scrapbook Filled with Celebrity Signatures, 1940s-1970s. The innocuous black three-ring binder is hand-decorated on the cover "Ken's Autographs;" inside is a collection of autographs and memorabilia that "Ken" began compiling during World War II while hospitalized at Chabua (India) Air Force Station. The facility was visited by many celebrities during the war who toured in support of US troops. During his extended hospital stay, Ken was able to garner autographs directly and via mail requests.

After the war, he continued to add to the collection and the book includes his notations of how autographs and signed (or printed signatures) photos were obtained. Most of the latter were signed secretarially or contained printed autographs, but there are dozens of actual autographs obtained directly, including those of Abbott & Costello, Lionel Barrymore, James Cagney, Charles Coburn, Katharine Hepburn, Buster Keaton, Shirley Temple, and many Big Band performers including Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald. There are a number of sports-related autographs as well, but a few pages listed in the Index at the front of the book that included sports autographs are now missing; also, please note that most of the autographs are cut and/or clipped and then glued or taped to the scrapbook pages so please bid accordingly. Please go to for a listing of other autographs in this collection.
