A Marilyn Monroe Early Signature, Circa 1949. On a blank, pre-stamped postcard (remember those?), signed in pencil on the verso "Marilyn Monroe;" accompanied by a typed letter from the current owner who, as a nine year old girl, was in Silverton, Colorado in the summer of 1949 visiting the 'on location' site of the 20th Century Fox movie, "A Ticket to Tomahawk." She recalled seeing a "young blonde woman dressed as a showgirl sitting at a table playing solitaire," thought she was quite stunning, and (after being prompted by her mother) asked the starlet for an autograph. When mom asked to see the signature afterwards, she said to her daughter, "Marilyn Monroe? Never heard of her." (Please note postcard is now water-stained and quite wrinkled due to age, somewhat affecting MM's autograph -- please bid accordingly.)
