    A Judy Garland Make-Up Case, Sewing Basket, and Travel Mirror, Circa 1968. Three separate pieces including: 1) a beige vinyl travel make-up case, made by Bercy, ID tag has handwritten annotation reading "Judy Garland / 1424 N. Crescent Heights / Los Angeles / 213-652-5555 / California 90046," inside contents include numerous make-up items like perfume, powder, foundation, mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, tubes of lipstick, hairbrushes, curlers, hair clips, make-up brushes, used Kleenex, soap, a Western Union telegram [dated "1968 Jun 11" to Garland from "Tom"], and, strangely, one black suede pump by Ferragamo, in worn condition, either a size 4 1/2 or 5; 2) a straw sewing basket, stamped on the bottom "Made in Japan," inside contents include a hairbrush, foundation, loose powder, two bottles of Bufferin aspirin, cream, perfume, hair clips, bobby pins, straight pins, many keys, a fabric coin purse, a psychedelic-print cotton necktie, a pink floral print silk scarf, a beige cotton belt, a handmade sheer fabric Kleenex holder (with used Kleenex in it), a 'phone message' note from a "Mr. Potter" with a date stamp of "May 26 12:41PM '68," a handwritten note from "Bob," and a typed note from "Wes;" 3) an electric travel mirror, also by Bercy, housed in its own off-white textured vinyl case, shoved inside case is a note to Garland from "Kevin J. Harrington," sheet music for a song composed by Harrington titled 'A Grotto Over the Flame,' two black and white photographs of Garland performing on stage, one black and white photograph of Vicente and Liza Minnelli, and one black and white photograph of Joey Luft. (Please note all pieces are quite dirtied and in various states of condition due to age.)

    Garland left all these items at a friend's apartment in New York City at the end of 1968, as she was leaving for London. Sadly, she never had the opportunity to retrieve these belongings which have been left just as Miss Garland had them, with the exception of a few of the make-up items which Heritage put in plastic bags to prevent further damage to the interior lining of the make-up case.
