    A John Wayne Personally-Owned Script from "Rio Lobo." National General Pictures, 1970. No covers, no authorship noted, undated, marked "Final Draft," 155 pages, with the first 14 pages folded in half as was Wayne's habit, with a handwritten annotation in black felt-tip ink on the title page reading "Mary St John [Wayne's longtime secretary] / Please save / JW's personal / script from 'Rio Lobo' / Thanx (illegible name)." (Please note the title page is loose from the rest of the script.)

    PROVENANCE:
    This script was originally sold in the Heritage Auctions (Los Angeles) auction titled "The Personal Property of John Wayne," Sale 7045, October 6-7, 2011, Lot 44395, final price realized was $10,157.50.
