DescriptionA Humphrey Bogart and Others Signed Book Related to "The Two Mrs. Carrolls." The book titled "Story-Lives of Great Composers," by Katherine Little Bakeless, hardcover, dustjacket, published by Frederick A. Stokes Company, New York, Philadelphia, third printing, 1942; owned by the young actress Ann Carter who portrayed "Beatrice Carroll" in the 1947 Warner Bros. film, inscribed in black fountain pen ink on the front free end paper "Presented to / Ann Carter / June 14, 1945 / Compliments of / Cast and Crew / of the / Two Mrs. Carrolls Co.," [evidently a gift as Carter's birthday was June 16th], signed in blue fountain pen ink on the inside front cover by her famous colleagues including Humphrey Bogart, Barbara Stanwyck, Alexis Smith, and Peter Godfrey [the director], many additional signatures penned on the inside front cover of now unknown crew -- overall, an interesting piece related to this classic film noir starring Bogie.
