    A Glenn Ford-Received Set of Handwritten Letters from Henry Fonda, Circa 1982. The first on a notecard featuring an image of a 1980 painting by Fonda titled 'Norman Thayer Jr.' [his character's name in "On Golden Pond"], handwritten in black felt-tip ink by Fonda, reading in part "Dear Glenn- /...thank you / for accepting the award for me / ...You have been a good friend for years and / this is to help tell you how much I / appreciate the nice things you have said. / With all my love and good wishes / Hank;" the second on the same-style notecard, handwritten in black felt-tip ink by the actor, reading in part "...thank you both for the champagne.../and your good thoughts that / I know went with it - our enduring / friendship means a lot to me- / Hank;" both touching letters showing how people used to write thank you letters and how the two actors maintained a lifelong friendship.
