DescriptionA George Cukor Signed Termination Agreement from "Gone With The Wind." One page, typed, dated "March 2, 1939," reading in part "It is agreed between us that the term of / Director's employment .../shall terminate as / of February 25, 1939;" signed in black fountain pen ink in the lower left corner "George Cukor" and by two executives -- there is still much speculation and rumor today as to why Cukor got fired from the production; also included is a 'Congratulations' telegram, dated "1965 Apr 6" from David O. Selznick (and wife Jennifer Jones) to Cukor for winning a 'Best Director' Oscar for "My Fair Lady."
