On two pages of personalized stationery with the star's Beverly Hills address, handwritten in black felt-tip ink, dated "Nov. 23" [1941], reading in part "Dear Miss Wilson: / ...my favorite hobby is golf and next / the breeding & racing of horses.../ at present / I'm doing 'Holiday Inn' with Bing Crosby / ...(my) next picture (is) with Rita Hayworth / at Columbia... / she is a delightful / girl and a swell dancer & I think / one of the outstanding screen-beauty / personalities of all times... / I remain / Sincerely / Fred Astaire / P.S. Am forwarding photo as per / your request;" included with said photograph depicting a headshot of the star signed in black fountain pen ink on the right side; "Miss Wilson" being the 1930s-1940s-era radio show host better known as Mary Jessma who covered the Hollywood beat from a radio station in St. Petersburg, Florida. (Please note both pages of the letter have residue on the verso from being affixed to a scrapbook page.)
