A Clark Gable Mysterious Handwritten Letter, 1929. Penned in black fountain pen ink on both sides of a folded piece of crème-colored stationery, dated "Nov 20, 1929," addressed to "Dear Sir," the then 28 year-old writes in part: "I am asking / you a very unusual / question.../I fully / appreciate the length / of time since this happened / I would like to know / as near as possible the / hour of my name / is Clark Gable / attended my mother in / Cadiz, Ohio and she died there / a few months after my birth. / I was born Feb 1, 1901.../ Yours truly / Clark Gable / 140 East 81 / Apt 11-B / New York / N.Y.;" the doctor's response is penned in ink and pencil on the lower left side of the letter and reads in full: "Feb. 1, 1901 / 5:30 a.m / Jms S. Campbell, M.D. / Cadiz, / Ohio" (the doctor obviously having mailed the letter back to Gable); interesting to speculate why the young Gable wanted to know this information -- perhaps he was having his astrological natal chart done? (Please note there is heavy staining and mold evident on the letter but it is still legible.)

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
