Description

A Bette Davis Collection of Signed Black and White Photographs, 1930s-1940s. Nine total, all original prints with either a glossy or matte finish, all depicting the star as a young woman, mostly in posed publicity shots, all signed by her in various colors of fountain pen ink mostly to "Stanley" (though one is to "Patsy" and another to "Ruthie"), 'Stanley' being Stanley Wingate Woodward, a well-known artist who was also a neighbor to the young Davis while she was growing up in Massachusetts; the two maintained a close friendship for decades, up until Woodward passed away in 1970; there is some speculation that they may have been more than 'just friends' as some of Davis' inscriptions seem to indicate: one reads "Waiting until / that day / When?" and another notes "Stanley / Hope this / will bring you / to California;" also included are nine other black and white photographs of Davis either by herself or with others, four of which date from her teen years and have likely never before been seen. (Please note most of these photographs are now in poor condition due to age - please bid accordingly.)
    13" x 10" and smaller

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
