Description

1988 Cannes Film Festival International Advertising Award. Original 1988 Cannes International Advertising Festival Award, consisting of a brass winged lion figurine with an open book at its front paw, standing atop a marble base. The brass plate is pre-inscribed with the following information: "XXXV Festival International du Film Publicitaire" and "Cannes 1988" along with placeholders for "Groupe," "Catégorie," "Décerné À," and "Annonceur," though the recipient fields have been left blank-presumably to be filled in on the day of the awards ceremony. The marble base measures approximately 2.5" x 3" x 1.5", and the lion figure measures approximately 3" x 2" x 0.75". Exhibits light oxidation and fading. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
