Alfred Cheney Johnston (35) vintage oversize glamour photographs. (ca. 1920s) It is exciting enough when singular examples of early glamour photographer Alfred Cheney Johnston's portraits of starlets and models appear for sale, but offered together here are (35) vintage oversize approx. 11 x 14 in. single- and double-weight glamour portraits of young women, several in Cheney's signature early risqué style. All but one exhibit the photographer's credit stamp on verso, and two also bear his embossed blindstamp. Condition, with a few exceptions for edge and corner chips, rates fine to very fine.Auction Info
