Alec Baldwin "Adam Maitland" replacement animation transformation figure from Beetlejuice. (Warner Bros., 1988) In Tim Burton's beloved dark comedy Beetlejuice, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis ("Adam" and "Barbara Maitland") die and are trapped between Earth and the afterlife. To keep tenants from inhabiting the home they're haunting, "the Maitlands" transform themselves into monstrous creatures to try to scare the new occupants away. The transformation effect was created using "replacement" animation techniques on a series of models, each progressively morphing from Baldwin to monster. This is an 18 x 14 x 10 in. Alec Baldwin late-stage transformation model. Constructed of sculpted and cast plaster monster head and torso with affixed hinged arms and resin hands. With eyeballs attached to the end of each finger. The entire figure is dressed in fabric costume matching Baldwin's character, painted and finished with hair applied to the head. The base has been left as raw plaster and marked "18" which would designate the order this figure would occupy in the transformation scene. In production used good condition. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
