    Description

A Pair of Fighting Nunchuks from "Rambo III." TriStar, 1988. Made of wood, painted black, silver metal enforcing at one end, black duct tape around the other end; both mounted to a color photograph showing Stallone holding one of them in a scene from the film where he portrayed "John Rambo."
    Each Nunchuk: 29 1/2"; Overall Display: 13" x 29"

"Rambo III was the longest film shoot I had ever done. It was close to 140 days which is extraordinary when most shoots today are only 40. At the very end of the film, we traveled to Thailand where my character gets involved in a stick fight. This is actually a very lethal form of combat that was developed in the Philippines and often times it's fatal. The sticks that we used were made of teak surrounded by metal, like the ones they use in actual combat, and many times the sticks would slide on top of one another and crack our knuckles, so much so that stitches were involved on two occasions. After filming, I decided to frame these things because they had a great deal of, quote 'impact' endquote, on my life!"
