    A Margaret Mitchell Signed First Edition of "Gone With The Wind," 1936. Hardcover, with dust jacket (though most of its front bottom portion is now missing), published by The Macmillan Company, New York, May 1936, signed in black fountain pen ink on the front free end paper "Margaret Mitchell;" included with a typed note, on letterhead from Friedman's Booksellers, Publishers and Importers of New York City, dated "Feb. 8, 1937," reading in part "...this book was given to one of the salesmen with the Macmillan / Co. by the author, and we know it is a genuine autograph." (Please note both book and dust jacket are in very yellowed and worn conation with the dust jacket in especially rough shape.)
