    Description

    A John Wayne 'Nudie's' Cowboy Hat, 1970s. Of standard design, made of white felt, no hatband, inside lining stamped "Nudie's Rodeo Tailors / North Hollywood, California" and "Resistol Self-Conforming;" included with a Churchill Hats Ltd. box with a 'John Wayne' return address label.

    PROVENANCE:
    This hat was originally sold in the Heritage Auctions (Los Angeles) auction titled "The Personal Property of John Wayne," Sale 7045, October 6-7, 2011, Lot 44276, final price realized was $14,937.50; included with a certificate indicating that it was originally consigned directly by Ethan Wayne, John Wayne's youngest son.
