"Three Stooges" (2) Early 1940s sport jackets. (Columbia, 1940s) Pair of single-breasted wool sports jackets, both marked inside by Columbia wardrobe dept. simply as "STOOGES"; one retains a hanging tag marked "COL- #552-C LARRY FINE (3 STOOGES)" and the other, "COL- #551-C MICKEY GOLDEN (3 STOOGES)". The production numbers indicate these to be from the early 1940s. While Larry Fine is an immediately familiar name from his lifelong association as a principal Stooge, Mickey Golden was a character actor known primarily for his later work in 1960s television non-recurring roles; his early participation in comedy shorts went uncredited. Both jackets are in original screen-used condition and remain very fine.
