    "Scarlett O'Hara" black period top from Gone With the Wind. (MGM, 1939) Black satin ribbed long sleeve period top with 29 self-material buttons down front, pointed collar, delicate ivory lace trim on cuffs (one torn), lined in ivory with hook & eye front closure. Trim on cuffs added post production. Exhibits normal wear. Selznick Int. Pictures Inc. label handwritten, "VIVIEN LEIGH CHG 4". Designed by Walter Plunkett. Worn by Vivien Leigh as "Scarlett O'Hara" when Clark Gable brings her a bonnet from Paris and she tells him she won't kiss him for it and he declares that she needs kissing badly in Gone With the Wind. Lot purchased at the 1970 MGM Auction and stored in a steamer trunk until recently.
