"Ringwraith" screen-used Sword from The Lord of the Rings trilogy. (New Line Cinema, 2001-2003) The "Ringwraiths" were once great "Lord's of Men", ultimately corrupted and enslaved into the service of "Sauron". Sauron's "Nazgul", as they were also called, became his greatest and most feared servants. The swords of the nine Ringwraiths were forged in the Dark Land of Mordor and were both elegant and kingly, yet rusted and corroded from both dark magics and the passage of ages of time. This prop Ringwraith sword was made by Master Swordsmith, Peter Lyon under the art direction of Sir Richard Taylor at Weta Workshop in New Zealand during the production of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Consisting of a lightweight aluminum blade and urethane hilt, this sword was created and used specifically for stunts and riding sequences and exhibits signs of wear from on-set combat. This prop was part of a collection of authentic movie props procured by official New Line Cinema licensee, United Cutlery directly from Weta Workshop for reference use in producing collectible replica versions for fans. 55 in. long. Accompanied by a detailed Certificate of Authenticity from the licensee confirming the history of this prop and its use in creating United Cutlery's The Lord of the Rings Weapons and Armor line of reproductions as well as the original Weta shipping label to United Cutlery. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
