"Lock", "Shock" and "Barrel's" tree house elevator cage from The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Buena Vista, 1993) Screen-used, full-size, stop-motion animation set piece from The Nightmare Before Christmas. This elevator cage was utilized by "Halloween Town's" premiere trick-or-treaters "Lock", "Shock" and "Barrel" to ascend into their tree house. There are mounting holes in the resin floor of the cage where the stop-motion puppets were affixed. The piece is constructed of a combination of wrought iron, wood and twine with special removable bars to allow puppet placement and manipulation. The impressive cage measures 21 x 8.5 in. The hinged 7 x 5 in. latched cage door is operational. Wires leading to the light bulb have been snipped and the light and electronics remain untested. In production used very good condition.
