"K.I.T.T." filming miniature from Knight Rider. (Universal TV, 1982-1986) Pontiac Trans Am "K.I.T.T." push car was used in miniature visual effects sequences. Instantly recognizable, this vehicle was arguably the star of the show! Constructed of vacuum-formed plastic, resin and rubber model of the famous talking car and measuring 23 x 9 x 7.5 in. The shell of the body is painted glossy black with clear vacuum-formed plastic windows giving a clear view of the interior which features beige resin seats and panels, black dashboard, steering wheel and miniature David Hasselhoff "Michael Knight" driver puppet that ends at the waist. Dual metal tail pipe exhausts are visible in back. The famous, front-mounted scanner bar is represented by a strip of red reflective tape. Cast rubber Goodyear tires complete the model. A metal "J" bracket has been added to the right side of the undercarriage to ramp up the model for display and viewing. The model shows production wear and some paint cracking overall. Minor chipping. The driving puppet is missing the right arm. In vintage very good condition.
