Description

"Gonzo" screen-used puppet from Muppets from Space. (Columbia, 1999) "The Great Gonzo" stars in this, the 6th major film to feature those zany "Muppets". In this Sci-Fi story, "Gonzo" confides in "Kermit the Frog" that he's tired of being referred to as a "whatever" after an alien race begins sending him messages through bowls of cereal. This is a 13 in. tall screen-used "Gonzo" Muppet. Constructed of molded composite hollow torso and metal armature covered from head to toe with knobby blue fleece fabric up to the neck. Legs, ankles and feet are machined aluminum and poseable. Arms contain bendable wire armature. The familiar head is constructed of carved soft reticulated polyfoam face and snout painted pink. With ping-pong ball eyes with felt irises and polyfoam eyelids painted yellow. Back of the head is covered in matching knobby fleece fabric. The signature twisted plume of wire-enforced "singed" feather strands are present, comically crowning the head. The fabric in the back of the Muppet is split to allow access to the cavity of the figure, which houses an integral rod and some wiring for electronics (no longer present). Exhibiting production wear and signs of theatrical distressing since "Gonzo" was "struck by lightning" and was mounted to a lawn tractor. Comes complete on a professional 15 in. oval wooden base with "The Great Gonzo" name plaque affixed. In production used good condition. This represents one of only three Muppets we have ever handled. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
