Topps Star Wars trading cards are some of the most iconic and beloved collectibles in both the trading card and Star Wars fan communities. These cards were first released in 1977, coinciding with the debut of the original Star Wars film (later titled "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope"). The initial success of the movie led to a high demand for merchandise, leading to Topps' cards being produced outside of the United States. A set for Australia was issued by Scanlens, which included Series 1's original 66 cards, as well as 6 cards from the Series 1 sticker set.

Offered here is a group of 5 cards from The 1977 Star Wars trading card set. These cards are from Series 1 and 3. The Series 1 cards are from Scanlens' release of the set. Refer to the list for the cards included. What makes these cards special is that they are all from the collection of Betsy Crawford, Carrie Fisher's personal manager in New York from 1980-85. Her collection cards were saved from being discarded as Carrie was preparing to move into Paul Simon's apartment. CGC has authenticated the cards.
