Kirk Douglas and Jean Simmons Signed "Spartacus" Poster. Stanley Kubrick was only 31 years old when Kirk Douglas (star of Kubrick's previous movie, "Paths of Glory") recruited the young director to helm an epic saga in which the rebellious slave Spartacus (Douglas) leads a revolt against the decadent Roman Empire. Kubrick later disowned the film because it was not a personal project (he was hired to replace a dismissed Anthony Mann) but "Spartacus" remains one of Hollywood's best historical epics. Featured is a poster for the movie's 1967 re-release, signed by Douglas and co-star Jean Simmons. With COA from PSA/DNA.
