Flo Ziegfeld Signed Letter. Theatrical producer Flo Ziegfeld brought the revue format to spectacular heights during the early part of the 20th century utilizing a combination of pageantry, comedy, and semi-nudity that was repeated successfully for some 24 years, until the Great Depression ended the annual spectacles. Featured in this lot is a signed letter from Ziegfeld to Mr. Gus Edwards, dated April 23, 1931, detailing Ziegfeld's purchase of the contract of Mitzi Mayfair in order that she might appear in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1931. The letter is slightly faded but in otherwise good condition. With COA from PSA/DNA.
