Description
The Byrds Signed Contract for Shindig! (1965). A double-sided, one page, 8.5" x 14", single engagement agreement between Selmur Productions, Inc (a subsidiary of ABC) and the original members of the band -- Gene Clark, David Crosby, James McGuinn, Michael Clarke, and Chris Hillman. Dated August 31, 1965, the band was set to perform as a Specialty Act on the music variety show Shindig! The band, which formed in 1964, only retained this lineup for two years when Gene Clark left. One year later, both Crosby and Clarke also separated from the band. The five members have signed the bottom of the document in either black or blue ink. Good condition, save for the usual flattened folds. Accompanied by a color photograph of the band taken on an air strip in 1965. COA from Heritage Auctions.Loading guides...
