On February 19th 1963 the Beatles were informed that "Please Please Me" had reached number one in the U.K. singles chart. That was also the day that they met Michael Ward. He was commissioned to photograph the Fabs for a magazine. 1) Group image of the Beatles on a wall ledge; 2) Fabs together outside on stairs having tea. Minor bend in top front left corner, small ding to front lower left corner. Verso has tape measuring approx: 1" vertical. Small tear on verso (not all the way through) measuring approx: 1.5" vertical at top of paper. Front in Near Mint condition. Verso in Very Good Plus condition; 3) Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney outside on the stairs having tea. Minor bend on front top left corner; 4) John Lennon and Ringo Starr walking outside in Liverpool with two girls. Each limited edition lithograph measures approx: 12 1/2" wide by 16 3/4" tall. On 300gsm archival paper and is official with Michael Wards embossing stamp
Michael Ward was a well respected photojournalist and his brush with the Beatles captured a brief period in time before Beatlemania took hold of the world. In overall Very Good Plus to Near Mint condition and ready to frame for display.
