John Coltrane, Roland Kirk, Horace Silver 1962 Chicago Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising live jazz music at McKie's nightclub in Chicago during July and August of 1962. The main attraction is certainly John Coltrane, who was scheduled for a dozen nights beginning in mid-August. Coming before Trane were Horace Silver, Gene Ammons and Roland Kirk. Measures 22" x 28" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Trane had just released his Impulse! album Coltrane, which features drumming wizard Elvin Jones and pianist extraordinaire McCoy Tyner. Coltrane is a modal jazz effort that the Village Voice called both "gorgeous" and "shattering," in a good way.

Condition details: Has light creasing and bumps around the corners, along with a few light spots of soiling/toning.
