Bruce Lee Handwritten Letter Signed "Bruce" Written to Bob Baker Regarding a Shoot for Black Belt Magazine and Upcoming Travel Plans. Written by Lee to friend, confidante, and fellow Fist of Fury actor Robert "Bob" Baker, one-page (8.25" x 11"; 210 mm x 279 mm) on printed "Jeet Kune Do" personal letterhead stationery featuring gold and red yin and yang symbol and black Chinese characters indicating "Using no way as way" and "Having no limitation as limitation" representing Lee's personal hybrid philosophy on martial arts. Accompanied by original (9" x 4"; 229 mm x 102 mm) transmittal envelope, postmarked from Los Angeles, CA., 1 April 1969, written in Lee's hand, Mr. Bob Baker / 28625 Rochelle Ave. / Hayward, Cal. 94544. Expected folds with minor stains and handling.

Nineteen-sixty-nine was another year of transition and forward movement for Bruce Lee. His return to martial arts and relationships with fellow industry players provided many opportunities and Lee began work on a project with Hollywood script writer Stirling Silliphant and actor James Coburn. The three developed a script for a film called The Silent Flute (following Lee's death, the project became the 1978 film Circle of Iron). In this period, Lee divided his time between creating stories, promoting his martial arts technique at exhibitions and championships.

In this letter, Bruce Lee tells Bob Baker that he's healing up from injury "I am recovering pretty good and will resume training as soon as I feel A-okay", Lee mentions a photo shoot for Black Belt magazine as well as some travel plans.

Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA. COA from Heritage Auctions.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
