Beatles Ticket for Their Second Appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show (1964). Numbered 1635 and marked "Complimentary - Not For Sale", this ticket would have been given to one of the adoring fans admitted to watch the second appearance of the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show. The audience watching the band numbered 2,600, though 3,500 tickets were given out. Nine-hundred fans were understandably angry when they were denied entry by the police, likely due to safety concerns. Broadcast from the Deauville Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, the February 16, 1964 performance was held a mere week after their record-breaking Sullivan debut. Never before offered by Heritage Auctions. Measures approximately 4.25" x 1.75", slabbed in clear acrylic to an overall 5.75" x 3.5". In Good condition, with considerable creasing, handling, and corner wear. From the Connie and Dennis Dailey Monumental Beatles Collection.
