Beatles - Bravo-Beatles-Blitztournee Tour Program (Germany, 1966). The Beatles' only tour of Germany after they'd become international stars occurred in the summer of 1966, two months before the group ceased touring forever. It was quick - six concerts over three days in three cities - and was dubbed the "blitztournee" (lightning tour). With the German entertainment magazine Bravo promoting the shows, the alliterative name BRAVO-BEATLES-BLITZTOURNEE was adopted and used extensively to refer to the tour, and can be seen prominently at the concert venues. The Beatles famously traveled between the three cities - Munich, Essen, and Hamburg - on a private train which had been used to transport the Queen of England on a royal visit to Germany just a month before. Here is a twelve-page program from that tour, featuring black and white photos of the opening acts - Cliff Bennett & the Rebel Rousers, the Rattles, and Peter & Gordon - leading to a larger spread of the Beatles, ending in a fantastic fold-out poster of the Fab Four in action on stage.
