1980 Muhammad Ali Training Worn Headgear Inscribed to Stallone. The black marker inscription, "To Sly from Muhammad Ali, Sept 23-80, Love Always," finds the bombastic three-time Heavyweight Champion in training just nine days before he would surrender his title to Larry Holmes at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. This penultimate contest of his Hall of Fame career would be the only time that Ali was stopped before the final bell.

The red leather headgear by Mexican outfitter "Cleto Reyes" is made all the more distinctive by the application of white leather "Ali" text applied to either side of the manufacturer's label at the brow. Solid, sweaty wear is readily apparent. A truly special relic linking the greatest Heavyweight Champions of fact and fiction.
