"Rambo's" Iconic M65 Army Jacket from "First Blood." Orion, 1982. Traditional military issue, khaki cotton, four front pockets, zip and snap front closure, American flag patch on right breast, "U.S. Army" patch on upper left breast; worn by Stallone as "John Rambo."

"The character of Rambo was a difficult one to cast. It had been offered to many eligible leading men in Hollywood. As a matter of fact, I was the eleventh choice. For some reason, everyone was a little nervous to play this character because one like it hadn't been seen before -- a man who was at war with his own country while also being at war with his own inner demons. The irony is that Rambo had felt like an outcast since leaving the army, where he felt that he'd been neglected and ignored, yet he still wears the jacket which he can't help but respect. There's something about this piece that just made the character come alive The man is very conflicted and this jacket tells a great deal about who he is. Once you get to know the character, you realize that he never lost his sense of patriotism, no matter what."
