Description

Steve Vai's circa 1980's Jackson SL Series Soloist Yellow Solid Body Electric Guitar, Signed and Inscribed.
Jackson SL Series Soloist solid body electric guitar in yellow finish, circa 1980s, twice signed and inscribed by Steve Vai. This instrument was an original Jackson built by Grover Jackson and personally given to Vai during the early phase of his career. The guitar was used during the recording of the Alcatrazz record and later featured in studio sessions for David Lee Roth's Eat 'Em and Smile album.

The inscription on the back of the guitar reads: "To Scott/I cant thank you enough for all your love and support. We feel so grateful to have you and your families in our life. It's ,my honor to give you this guitar - I used it quite a bit in the early days and since you are a former "Gazor Fox", It suits you./Much Love/Steve Vai/3/14"

Tuned to drop-D, this Soloist was used live on "Night Games" with Alcatrazz and served as a backup to Vai's iconic "Flame" guitar during the Eat 'Em and Smile tour. This historically significant guitar captures a pivotal era in Vai's evolution from rising virtuoso to world-renowned guitar icon. Listed on Steve Vai's website as SV number: SV 176.
