Description
Star Wars Polish Bootlegs Static Darth Vader & Articulated Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear) CAS 70 – Loose (various, 1984-90). This pairing unites two distinct phases of Polish bootleg Star Wars production through two instantly recognizable Imperial designs. Darth Vader appears here in static Series 3 form, his cape-and-lightsaber silhouette reduced to the blunt, rubbery simplicity that defines the earliest widely distributed Polish figures. Opposite him is the articulated Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear), the snow-field variation better known to many collectors as the Snowtrooper, bringing one of The Empire Strikes Back's cold-weather Imperial looks into Poland's more ambitious articulated bootleg efforts. Both figures are graded CAS 70. Vader, a Series 3 example, has a true grade of 70.3, and the Stormtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear), a Series 4 first-generation articulated figure, has a true grade of 72.1. Both include Statements of Archival from CAS. Few corners of vintage Star Wars feel this gloriously off-model, where Vader and a Hoth trooper look like they slipped through the Iron Curtain and came out stranger on the other side.More Information: Polish Bootlegs – Series 3 – 1st Generation Static Figures:
Polish Bootlegs Series 3 refers to the first large wave of unarticulated rubber Star Wars figures produced in Poland, circa 1984–1990. The series consists of 17 characters copied from across the Kenner line, spanning A New Hope through Power of the Force. These figures were molded in solid rubber, sold loose, and produced in multiple color variations depending on material availability, resulting in significant size and shade differences between examples. Accessories were minimal and inconsistent, with some figures fitted with simple vinyl capes in a range of colors. Today, Series 3 figures are recognized as the earliest widely distributed Polish Star Wars bootlegs and remain central to advanced Eastern Bloc variant collecting.
Polish Bootlegs – Series 4 Gen 1 (Elektrospółdzielnia):
Polish Bootleg Series 4 Gen 1 refers to the articulated, carded Polish Star Wars figures produced by Elektrospółdzielnia Spółdzielnia Rzemieślnicza in Gdańsk and Gdynia beginning in 1985. The series comprised 20 characters, molded in rubber with interchangeable limb assemblies drawn from a limited number of arm and leg molds, resulting in most figures sporting Biker Scout or TIE Fighter Pilot arms. These first-generation figures are identified by their conical limb joints and were sold on large rectangular cards featuring Polish trilogy titles and space-themed artwork distinct from Kenner packaging. Weapons were produced separately in bagged sets and attached to square cards, with figures and accessories often appearing in multiple color variants. This series represents the most influential articulated Polish bootleg line of the 1980s.

Auction Type
Signature Internet Extended Bid: These auctions are presented only online and bidding is only taken through our website. There are two phases of bidding during this type of auction: 1) Normal bidding: Bids are taken up until 7:00 PM CT the night the auction closes. 2) 15 Minute Ending: On a lot-by-lot basis, starting at 7:00 PM CT, any person who has bid on the lot previously may continue to bid on that lot until there are no more bids for 15 minutes. For example, if you bid on a lot during Normal Bidding, you could participate during Extended Bidding for that lot, but not on lots you did not bid on previously. If a bid was placed at 7:03, the new end time for that lot would become 7:18. If no other bids were placed before 7:18, the lot would close. If you are the high bidder on a lot, changing your bid will not extend the bidding during the 15 Minute Ending phase (only a bid from another bidder will extend bidding). If you are the only bidder at 7 PM, you will automatically win the lot at 7:15. Important: After normal bidding ends, you must be signed-on to the Heritage site to see the bidding option on lots where you qualify for extended bidding and you must be on an individual lot page to reflect the accurate time remaining for that particular lot.
