Description
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Lot of 4 Figures (Playmates, 1988). This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lot contains 4 sealed figures from the first series released by Playmates in 1988. It includes Leonardo, Donatello, April, and Splinter. All figures are securely attached to their cards. April's card has some tearing above the bubble and the bubble has some crushing with slight separation at the bottom. Splinter's card has creasing on the left side and some scuffing to the bubble. Donatello and Leonardo's bubbles are in good condition and both have the Fan Club flyers. They both have creases on back where the bubble meets the card on front and Donatello's card has a bend on the left side. Mark Freedman, the president of Surge Licensing, originally pitched the idea of licensing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird for a toy line which resulted in the deal with Playmates Toys.
