Description
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Krang's Android Body, Splinter, and Shredder (Playmates, 1988-1991). This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lot contains 3 sealed figures released by Playmates in 1990. Krang's Android Body was released in 1991 and the figure is new and sealed in the original box. The front of the box is slightly depressed with a crease at the center left and crush at the top right corner. The bottom corners also have lesser denting. The left side of the box has a crease and dent along the edge and the right side shows a slight bend. The back of the box is in good condition with light wear. Splinter was released in 1988 and his card is in excellent condition with a clear uncracked bubble. There is a small dent on the right side of the extended bubble stand. The back of the card is clean with a small curved dent in the top right corner and some light veining at the bottom right corner. Shredder's unpunched card from 1988 is in good condition with a very light vein in the bottom left corner and a dent on the bottom edge. The bubble is clear with a dent at the bottom of the extended bubble stand. The back of the card has a slight bend in the middle and a light crease across the center where the top of the bubble meets the card front. Mark Freedman, the president of Surge Licensing, originally pitched the idea of licensing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird for a toy line which resulted in the deal with Playmates Toys.
