Description
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Krang & Splinter (Playmates, 1988-89). This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle lot features 2 unpunched figures produced by Playmates released in 1988 and 1989.From Series 1 is the loving father-figure to the Turtles, Master Splinter. Splinter is sealed on its original unpunched 10-back card. The Krang figure was released in 1989, and comes sealed on its original unpunched 14-back card.
Splinter's card has light wear with a crease on back where the top of the figure bubble meets the card back. The bubble has scuffing but is uncracked and undented. Krang's card has a bend at the top and a crease on the back where the top of the bubble meets the card back. The bubble has a slight wrinkle above his head on top. Mark Freedman, the president of Surge Licensing, originally pitched the idea of licensing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird for a toy line which resulted in the deal with Playmates Toys.
