Star Wars Tie Fighter (Kenner, 1978). The 1978 Kenner Star Wars TIE Fighter is revered both as a significant piece of Star Wars memorabilia and a pivotal development in the history of action figure-related toys. Its innovative design and interactive features have cemented its status as a memorable and lasting element of the Star Wars toy legacy. The Star Wars Tie Fighter was released by Kenner in 1978 alongside the first Star Wars movie. The Imperial fighter comes in its original packaging with unused contents. This one is from the vehicle's original release, the sole signifier between it and the 1979 release being the "LP" logo on the box.
