Star Wars - The White Witch: A Droid Adventure Book Cover Illustration by Alice Carter with Signed Published Book (Lucasfilm/Random House, 1986). Presented is an exceptionally rare original book cover illustration for the children's book The White Witch: A Droid Adventure, adapted from the Star Wars: Droids premiere episode "The White Witch." This is an action-packed image by artist Bunny Carter, featuring R2-D2, C-3PO, Thall Joben, Jord Dusat, and Kea Moll, all aboard the titular White Witch speeder. The piece is rendered expertly in gouache on board by artist Alice "Bunny" Carter, with a linework acetate overlay. The piece measures a large overall 17" x 20.5", and it is joined by the published book, with the title page signed by the artist. Overall minor handling and edge wear with tape on edges and a light fold in the upper right corner of the acetate. Some toning in the corners of the board, and the condition overall is Very Good.

More Information: Alice A. (Bunny) Carter is an award-winning artist, author and academic. Her illustration clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Rolling Stone magazine, The New York Times, and ABC Television. Her work has been exhibited nationally at galleries and museums such as the New York Society of Illustrators Museum of American Illustration, The Norman Rockwell Museum, the Art Institute of Houston, the Delaware Museum of Art, and the New Britain Museum.
