Star Wars ROTJ Emperor & Royal Guard (Kenner, 1983). The Star Wars Emperor and Royal Guard figures were released by Kenner in 1983 alongside the third Star Wars movie, Return of the Jedi. The Emperor is sealed on an unpunched ROTJ 77 Back A card, and Royal Guard comes sealed on a ROTJ 65 Back C card with "Free Emperor figure offer." The Emperor's card displays edge and corner wear with small bends in the upper and lower left corners. The protective bubble has light scratching and scuffing with an extra layer of tape at the bottom, possibly repairing prior lifting of the bubble. The figure and its accessory remain unused. The back of the card has more pronounced edge wear with horizontal creasing from where the bubble is attached to the card. The Royal Guard's card displays creasing at the top of the hanger with light edge and corner wear. The protective bubble has yellowed slightly and exhibits scratching and scuffing throughout. The back of the card has creasing from where the bubble is attached to the card with light scuffing. Please enlarge photos to view all details.
