Star Wars POTF2 Tauntaun First Shot AFA 70+ ** Only Graded Example ** (Hasbro, 1997). Released during the modern relaunch of the Kenner brand under the Kenner name for Hasbro's Power of the Force II toy line, the Tauntaun revisited the Hoth creature first introduced in the vintage era. Based on the snow lizard mounts seen in The Empire Strikes Back, the sculpt preserved the distinctive split-horn head, tail, and saddle configuration associated with the Rebel patrol scenes outside Echo Base. This example represents an unpainted first-shot prototype from the 1997 production cycle. First shots are early test pulls taken from finalized tooling to evaluate mold performance, material flow, and structural integrity prior to full retail production. Molded in grey plastic without final decoration, the piece reflects factory test coloration rather than finished release paint applications. Graded AFA 70+ EX+.
