Introduced during the Power of the Force expansion tied to Return of the Jedi, the A-Wing Pilot represents one of the final Rebel additions to Kenner's original vintage run. The sculpt captures the WWI-inspired flight helmet & chest box detailing that defined the fast-strike starfighter corps seen in the climactic Battle of Endor. As part of the late-vintage assortment, the character holds a distinct place within the closing year of Kenner's classic era. This First Shot example reflects an early production stage used to evaluate tooling and paint application prior to final retail approval. Notably, the helmet is finished in a light brown paint configuration, a developmental detail that differs from standard production coloration and provides insight into Kenner's refinement process during the 1984-85 period.
