This complete, sealed Reference Sample is from the collection of Derryl DePriest, and represents the 2008 Legacy Collection release of Green Leader's A-Wing Fighter with Arvel Crynyd. Issued during the blue-and-white packaging phase of the line, the vehicle revisited the Rebel starfighter as seen in Return of the Jedi, including the updated cockpit noted on the packaging and a pilot figure of Arvel Crynyd. Affixed to the box is a factory "REFERENCE SAMPLE" label identifying the item as "SW A-WING VEHICLE W/ ARVEL CRYND," dated 5/21/2008, with internal production notations. Such samples were retained for internal review, engineering reference, or archival purposes and were not part of standard retail distribution channels.
