Star Wars JC Penney Exclusive 4-Pack Mailer UKG U80% (Kenner, 1978). This is an incredibly scarce JC Penney exclusive mail-away 4-pack, originally released in 1978, featuring four of the most iconic characters from the original Star Wars film: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, C-3PO, and R2-D2. These figures were sold by JC Penney as a mail-order set and were shipped individually bagged inside a simple cardboard mailer box. This particular set has been graded by UKG with an overall Uncirculated 80%, with the figures receiving U80% and the packaging U85%, confirming that the bagged figures were removed from the sealed box by UKG and immediately encased. The bagged figures have been carefully displayed outside of the mailer but remain sealed in their original factory baggies, preserving their authenticity and visual presentation. These early mailer packs are highly prized by vintage Kenner collectors due to their low production numbers, minimal packaging, and the fact that few survived intact.
