Released in 1982 as part of The Empire Strikes Back line, the Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot was one of the final figures introduced before the transition to Return of the Jedi packaging. Clad in jet-black armor with a menacing helmet inspired by Darth Vader's own, this figure gave collectors the perfect crew member for Kenner's TIE Fighter vehicles and brought to life the elite pilots of the Empire's starfighter fleet. This example is sealed on a 48-Back C card and graded AFA 80 NM, with subgrades of C80 B85 F80. The card displayswith the Revenge of the Jedi Admiral Ackbar promotion printed directly on the card-a short-lived variant issued before the title of the film was changed.
